Underlays

- Softer Underfoot: your underlay is usually made form foam, felt or waffle material. This plump material, in combination with carpet fibres, makes for a much more comfortable feel underfoot.

- Insulative Properties: Your battle to keep your home warm in winter without bumping up the thermostat can be boosted. Since underlay adds an extra layer to your carpet, you get double the barrier for keeping warmth in and cold out. Also, provide insulation against noise.

- No More Cold Floors: The underlay has for the overall temperature of your home, but what you might not realise is that applying carpet directly on top of concrete or wood floors.

- Money-saving: Without underlay, the traffic on top of the carpet would easily grind down the fabric and the underneath of your carpet. Your carpet’s lifespan will be slashed as it is ground down against a hard surface, but a soft underlay will protect your investment for far longer.

- Keeping Up Appearance: The underlay should absorb the majority of the pressure which prevents the fibre and joining materials from looking shabby.
